As part of the annual Maliseet Health Fair, community members are encouraged to take part in the Health Walk. We leave as a group from the gym and have the option of walking the 1/2 mile or 1 mile course. We have also included a Fun Run for the youth. For those age 5 and under there will be a straw walk, where the youth walk laps around the gym for 6 minutes. Each time they complete a lap they receive a straw and at the completion the straws are counted. Each participant then receivves a ribbon for taking part in the activity. For youth age 6-10 there will be a 1/2 mile run, and for those 11-16 a mile run. All participants in the Health Walk and Fun Run will receive a t-shirt for their participation.Location
