Activity Report: Just Move It! Halloween Skate Night

Free skate night for youth & their families. Also provided were costume contest, face painting, dance contest, games, pizza, treats. The tobacco prevention lady was there to hand out information and incentives. Everyone was asked to bring in a non-perishable food item as admission. A van full of food items were donated and delivered to the local food pantry from the youth in Adair County. Food pantry were very grateful for the contribution.
Best Features:
The best part was everything! I think the food drive was a huge success!!! The skating rink said they don't ever remember having this large a turnout for anything.
Creative Features:
Asking the youth to bring in a canned food item as admission. Food was donated to the local food pantry. Food pantry workers were amazed at the amount of food this activity brought in!
Challenges:
Thank God, everything went perfectly!
Future Plans:
More skate nights, basketball events, community walks, etc.
