The Nursing Division at Northern Navajo Medical Center is excited about our participation in the National effort to "get moving". Each nursing unit has a 'coordinator" or two to keep a log on how may steps they make per day. Each participant will come up with a goal that they set for themselves. They will decide how many steps they will accomplish per day.Tribes Involved:
Navajo and patchwork of many tribes!

Workplace
At work, during breaks, and at home after hours.
Program Purpose:
The goal is to have each participant become more aware of their physical activity level.
Program Key Features:
Each participant will keep a personal log on their "virtual" walk. We have some walking from NY to San Diego, the applachians, and Shiprock to Alaska!
Most Excited About:
Each group will challenge one another to keep active. It is exciting that we have many participants who are joining this event! We have individuals who want to assist other units to keep them motivated. Each unit will come up with a t-shirt logo for all participants at the end. The logo with the most votes will be printed and provided to all participants.
Program Partners:
Mainly the Nursing Staff and support persons under Nursing. We do have several APN and physicians who want to be included.
