Over 250 attendees participated with both parents and their children taking part. This annual event included the famous 5-person rockwall, soccer, basketball clinics and obstacle course. Fusion Fitness coordinated a obstacle course while the group Hotspell provided music during the event. A healthy meal was provided by Richardson Catering consisting of buffalo burgers, turkey dogs, green salad, and fresh fruit.

We need to teach our youth how to stay active and eat healthy to prevent the onset of Diabetes. This can be done through a healthy lifestyle of nutritious food, moderate exercise, and staying away form tobacco, drugs and alcohol. Towards the end of the day SCIHP staff played a basketball game against the youth team and got clobbered ending with a score of 11 to 30. 135 youth received a "Just Move It" t-shirt and a medal of accomplishment for participating in this event.

The Healthy Traditions joined together with the Nutrition/WIC Department and Community Health Representatives to get our youth active as part of the "Just Move It" National Campaign program. Our department would like to thank all 42 volunteers and the community who donated their time to come out and make this event a huge success!
