Description

Just Move It EAST DIRECTION events were scheduled from May 3rd - June 1 and was held in 11 communities.  We had many people come out to different events and walk, run, or ride bikes.  There were many different age groups represented from the babies all the way to the elders.  Each new participant received a free tshirt and at some events there was health screenings.  People were also able to receive a stamp on their shirt to help them show where they have been and also they signed a thank you card that was given to the chapter to thank them for providing fruits and the place to host the event.  Participants who participated in 6 events received a JMI cap.  Overall we had 6,523 participants with 3,933 participants who attended 1 event and 2,590 who came to 2 or more events, of this number 177 participants earned their JMI cap for coming to 6 events.   At the 11 events we had new registrants and returning participants, at Tse’Daa’Kaan Chapter (641 New Registrants), San Juan Chapter 570 participants (331 New, 239 Returning), Nenahnezad Chapter 736 participants (393 New, 343 Returning), Upper Fruitland Chapter 637 participants (273 New, 364 Returning), Farmington - Berg Park 2,048 participants (1514 New, 534 Returning), Ignacio – SunUte Multi-Purpose Field 237 participants (92 New, 145 Returning), Bloomfield – Cultural Center 514 participants (175 New, 339 Returning), Huerfano Chapter 348 participants (109 New, 239 Returning), Dzilth Health Center 260 participants (106 New, 154 Returning), Nageezi Chapter 316 participants (182 New, 134 Returning), and Counselor Chapter 216 participants (117 New, 99 Returning).  Here are some picture from the different events

Best Features
The best part of the events was seeing so many people attending as families and getting out there and being active. People were excited to receive their next step incentive of a JMI Cap.

Creative Features
We have participants who come to more than one event during the summer and they can earn a next step incentive, which is a JMI cap, by coming to 6 events.
