Activity Report: California Challenge
Each participant recives a pedometer and tracking forms so they can record their daily miles. The California Rural Indian Health Board (CRIHB) employees are offered work time to take a 1 mile walk that starts at the office building and winds through a residential area. Employees record their miles monlthy and participate in office food tasting and incentives. The 12 employees who started all finished and have recorded a total of 1577 miles.
The physical changes people have noticed after continous walking.
This walking program occurs twice a year and we will keep it up.
